Preparing to Achieve Student Success

The Preparing to Achieve Student Success (PASS) Program helps first-year students on academic probation get back on track.

Freshmen who are on academic probation at the end of the fall semester are automatically enrolled in PASS and are required to participate in the program during the spring semester.

PASS offers several resources to help students improve their GPA and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards.

Some of the resources offered through the PASS program include:

Mid-Year Academy (MYA)

The Mid-Year Academy is the first step in the PASS program. Students are required to return to campus the day before the spring semester begins and attend MYA.

During this time, students will learn about Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards, meet with an adviser to make course schedule changes, and make their first appointment with their assigned student success coach.

Student Success Coaching

Coaches are available to meet with students enrolled in the PASS program during the spring semester. Students are required to meet with their student success coach at least once per month.
